This big meditation cushion is a great seat with a wonderful pedigree. Its history is a fun story and its future is full of possibilities. Plus, it is just what you need for maximum comfort in a variety of restorative poses.
The bheka Turtle is a line extension brought on by the huge popularity of the bheka Tadpole. While I know lots of people who love their Tadpoles as meditation or pranayama seats I personally do not. For short sits the Tadpole is fine but for longer sits my particular butt wants a bit more support. I also do a lot of chair work on folding chairs either seated or in some state of lying on the chair, so I measured a folding chair seat and made the Turtle fit on it. It still works great on the floor and it is perfect for use as a folding chair cushion. In addition, it incorporates two of the great features of the Tadpole. It has the beautiful soft flocked polyester cover and the molding comfort of organic buckwheat hull filling.
Just having these comfortable and lovely cushions around is a call to practice. I keep finding new ways to employ them.
Anything that makes a great chair cushion also makes a great headstand prop! The headstander we sell is comfortable but this is even easier on your shoulders and neck. In fact, I’ve never experienced a supported headstand this relaxing before. The buckwheat hulls uniquely mold to one’s shoulders and completely disperses all pressure.
